Elizabeth Wilson, Senior Director and Manager of the Prudential Young Entrepreneur Program for the Association for Enterprise Opportunity, the national trade association for microenterprise development, has provided professional leadership and training in the development of nonprofit services and management including program design, project planning, staff recruitment, marketing and fundraising in her various positions. She has a strong knowledge of urban, economic and small business development. Elizabeth developed the first microenterprise program for women in Atlanta BusinessNOW and was instrumental in founding, organizing and coordinating the Georgia Micro Enterprise Network, the trade asso-ciation for microenterprise programs in the state of Georgia. Through these and other endeavors, Elizabeth assisted hundred of organizations around the country and the state of Georgia in entrepreneurial training and SMA development. She has also assisted low- and moderate-income women and disadvantaged individuals throughout the Atlanta community in developing small businesses and reaching self-sufficiency. Elizabeth continues to be actively involved in her community and beyond by presenting to community organizations, coalitions, churches, associations and providing consulting services to several international economic development organizations. A member of the National Speakers Association and an entrepreneur, owner of EW & Associates, Inc, Elizabeth has worked tirelessly over the last ten years to train hundreds of community based organization around the country on economic literacy, youth entrepreneurship, rural MED marketing programs, small business development, domestic violence and women s empowerment initiatives and recently has worked with the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta to explore entrepreneurial opportunities for women at risk of HIV and criminal justice community to create entrepreneurial opportunities for ex-offenders.
