Elizabeth has been a leader in the area of small business development in the Atlanta area for over twenty years. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Georgia Micro Enterprise Network, GMEN, the 20-year-old statewide organization of over 8,000 micro, small and agribusinesses. She developed the first micro enterprise program for women in Atlanta BusinessNOW and has assisted hundreds of non-profit and faith-based organizations in capacity building and thousands of individuals across the country in developing small businesses and reaching self-sufficiency. During the pandemic, Elizabeth increased GMEN's annual revenue from $500,000 to $27 million by increasing the organization's capacity during the pandemic to serve people and communities through grants, loans and emergency rental and mortgage assistance support.
